I've just booked an Artists Alley table with Alisha (Lena) and I'm in the process of booking flights and a place to stay this week. So hand up who's in attendance, who's tableing etc.

I mainly ask because I'm curious about whether Oztaku will have the larger hotel room again so I can crash it.

It seems I have a cosplayer and a photographer piggybacking on me this year now. had I known earlier you had space I would of taken (seeing as I will have just come back from Japan I will be rather poor). Good thing my photographer is willing to splurge on a nice room, he's so paying the extra.

Making accommodation and flight plans before I go to TAS this week, folks.
If you want in, I need to know now so I can book your flight and appropriate hotel.

Currently, David has come up with Skyline Resort over the place we normally stay (Citypalms).
Considering it has apartments, like the one used in Adelaide, I'm thinking I agree at this point, but would prefer to know if there's anyone else we might know using them... it's more of a party when you have other people a few doors away.

I wont be going to the convention itself, im so sick of that venue with the same lame booths and merch every year, and, dare i say it, the culture of these places is really not all that appealing to me anymore... totally down for catching up after hours tho.

I booked my accom with Hayden a few weeks ago (needed to have it sorted before I went to Japan). Hopefully my box of lolita stuff I got there arrives before I leave.

Should we start organising where we're going for drinks / dinner in the evening?

Whoever suggests Mana Bar will need to be shot, because I guarantee you about 2,000 other nerds will be thinking the same thing, and the place will be packed out with bad cosplayers and weaboos.
The cosplayers part would be ok once you add the booze, except that most likely it'll be Sailor Man.

Pig & Whistle, at the end of things last year, was ok... although a little impersonal.
There's the Jubilee that we usually go to afterwards as well, but it's starting to lose its luster, especially because the prices have gone up, and they try to make us pay a door fee if we stay after 9 unless we go into the scummy pub part.

Any one else got other suggestions for nearby?

I don't really eat a whole lot in town so that's all I can really suggest I'm afraid >_>
